Our "Wax Museum" Comes Alive!

Mrs. Denton's first graders have been learning about individuals who have made an impact on the world. Each child was provided the opportunity to select their own person of interest - the students were then set forth to research many facts about their special person to caption their portrait.

The creative children presented their research at their own "wax museum." Other classes came to learn about these famous people and admire the amazing portrait gallery.

Each First Grader dressed up as their person of interest, waiting for someone to come by and push the button, "bringing them to life"!

First we have famed astronaut Sally Ride, followed by the iconic Pocahontas pictured with Betsy Ross. Susan B. Anthony and Thomas Edison pose together, as Louis Braille and finally Albert Einstein eagerly await the chance to "come to life" and tell their story!
